REBi launches scholarship call for 2019

Rebi has launched a campaign to recruit students for the 2019 scholarship program. The program is under skills development that is one of the key focus areas for REBi. This year, REBi has launched a call for 70 scholarships to enable youth who come from humble backgrounds get an opportunity to pursue studies in RE related courses. The scholarships shall cover all tuition fees, accommodation and any other relates fees.  Inaddition, REBi Limited has  partnered  with technical and vocational institutions namely: Uganda Technical College Bushenyi Camps, Uganda Technical College Kichwamba Campus and Buganda Royal Institute of Business and Technical Education Mengo to equip youth and young adults with relevant skills demanded by the labour market.  According to the Managing Director (Ms Claire Kagga) Students will be enrolled to pursue  national diplomas for 2 years in technical courses relevant to renewable energy. The acquired skills are expected to increase their employability.

The 2019 scholarship program is focusing on the girl child in joining vocational and technical education as way of empowering them to contribute greatly to a self sustaining community in Uganda today.

Finally, The sponsorship program is part of the skilling department in REBi ltd under the project:Vocational Training for Job Creation In the Renewable Energy Value Chain In Uganda implemented with support from the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kampala.
